Our Mission, Vision and Values

Our Mission (What is our purpose? Why do we exist?): Living Hope exists to glorify the triune God by communing with him, connecting with our community and conforming both ourselves and our world to the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision (What do we want to accomplish?): to reach, embrace and disciple God's people.

Our Values (What guides and motivates us to fulfill our vision?):

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ: it is true, wonderful and life-changing; and is found in the scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments.
  • The Lordship of Jesus Christover all of life. Therefore, in whatever we do we strive to reflect the image of Christ and the values of his kingdom in humble reliance upon his enabling grace.
  • Corporate worship that is biblical, God-Centered yet engaging, both joyful and reverent, and that draws from the richness of the past as well as the freshness of the present.
  • Shared leadership: The church is to be led by a plurality of elders, but not exclusively by the elders. Members whose gifts and ministries have been recognized and approved by the elders of the church should be given the requisite authority to carry out those ministries.
  • The covenant community as that place where people come to know the Savior, discover and use their spiritual gifts for ministry, and enjoy both the comfort and the challenge of living out the gospel in a fallen world.
  • The significance of every generation: We believe the church should value the gifts and experience of people of all ages in its life and ministry.
  • People over projects: People development is more important than project completion or program maintenance.
